From there she received 800+ hours of massage training and clinical experience. She graduated from SCUHS in April of 2012. In addition to her Massage Schooling, Trina also received her bachelors in 1999 from Cal State University of Sacramento. Her degree was in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Nutrition and foods. From 2001-2011 she was the co-owner and operator of Brawley Chiropractic Clinic in Brawley, CA. It was there that she focused on Detoxification with her “Healthwise Wellness Purification Program”.
Trina hopes to bring this 3 week program back to life. This Detoxification program focuses not only on purifying the body, but also changing negative eating habits in to good eating habits. This program should be up and running before summer time. From 1999-2002 Trina worked at Fountain Valley Hospital in the Nutrition and Foods department. It was there that she learned about patient care, menu planning, and patient food service production. She worked closely with diabetic , cancer , pregnancy/post-pregnancy, and Geriatric patients to ensure they were getting the proper nutrition that was prescribed. This experience added to Trina’s warm spirit and excellent “bedside manner”.
Overall, Trina’s purpose in life is to help her clients feel good inside and out. She has an extensive background in Anatomy, which includes working in the cadaver lab at SCUHS. When Trina massages, she knows exactly what she is working on and what other part of the body is being affected. Her intuitive massages are customized to bring your body to a state of total wellness and balance. This is done with a combination of modalities including Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Sports and Deep tissue, Tui Na, Thai Massage, Trigger Point and Pressure Point Therapy, and Reflexology of the hands and feet. In addition Trina also does Hot Stone Massage. An amazing session is created that results in total relaxation and excellent therapy for muscle tension and increasing circulation. Hot Stone Therapy is also recommended for Fibromyalgia patients as it helps to calm the nervous system and relieve stress that can activate flare-ups.
